My husband and I bought our first home over a year ago and were lucky enough to find Amy. With all the tough decisions and competitive brokering involved with purchasing a home in San Francisco, Amy made us feel 100% taken care of and in control....no matter how crazy things got. My husband and I were also super impressed by Amy's tenacity in not being afraid to ask the seller to provide certain things before the sale went through. I've heard so many horror stories recently from friends of mine dealing with lazy, un-motivated agents who were spoiled in the dot-com era. Amy has a lot of heart, loves what she does and I always felt like she was there representing our best interest. I continue to recommend Amy to anyone I know looking for a broker.

Amy was fantastic and such a pleasure to work with. We had to sell our place and find a new home within a short period of time. We did not want to move twice and she was able to get us to rent back our place for additional 30 days until we found a new home. Time was of the essence. Amy was diligent and worked hard to find our new home in time before our rent back period expired. She found a great new home and we closed/moved in on time. We couldn't be more happy. Amy is as good as they get. She helped me to find an amazing deal on my place in the City. I was actually looking at rentals with a friend when we happened to wander into one of her showings in SOMA. We got to talking and through a strong needs-based assessment, she found 4 properties that she thought were my style. She hit it right on the head on the first unit we saw. We looked at all four, but made an offer on the first one within a week of looking. It's been the best investment I've made and have been very happy with my new home! None of it would have happened without the efforts and hard work that Amy has put in.Now, she's diligently looking for a rental property for me. I'm certain we'll find something we like. This review is long overdue. I was lucky to have been introduced through a coworker who used Amy to find his first home. We could not have been more fortunate. Amy was a delight to work with, and took the time to make sure my husband and I found exactly what we wanted in this scary world of SF real estate.I should mention we had one of the most difficult closes ever.... a bad appraisal, bad loan officer, etc but Amy went above and beyond to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. We absolutely love our new home and have Amy to thank. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants an agent that knows the market, easy to work with, and extremely diligent and trustworthy.

We meet Amy several years ago when we bought our first condo and would not use anyone else for our real estate needs. She is warm and friendly while being extremely professional and knowledgeable of the industry. She would never steer you in the wrong direction. She always has the interest of the client in mind and never losses track of that even if it means not making a sale. She has been a great resource to us and always provided us with information we needed. She is honest and is a pleasure to work with. Amy Clemens is simply the best Real Estate Agent we have ever dealt with! She is incredibly conscientious, professional, friendly, and communicative. She knows her market, she listens and responds to what her buyers are after, and she anticipates and manages every detail even in the toughest of transactions. My wife and I were looking for a 2nd home and were seeking opportunities in the Bay Area. Coming from the east coast, we knew nothing about the market (which is radically different and much pricier from what we are accustomed to). Before we found Amy, other agents paid very little attention to us, and they were lethargic about our search once they heard that we were looking for something within our price range, add to that a good investment in a low crime area. Many said it was a very competitive space, and that there was little or no inventory. The few listings we saw from these agents were totally unacceptable for one reason or another, and a huge waste of our time. Our first engagement with Amy was a conference call which she set up at a very convenient time for us. She was very patient and thorough in assessing our wishes, and assured us that we could find what we were looking for. This was a Tuesday night, and after hours for her since we were on east coast time. Within the next day, Amy presented several appealing listings, one of which we locked on to by that Saturday. After thoroughly checking out the house and the neighborhood, we fell in love with it. The neighborhood was everything we could hope for and then some, and the house was screaming incredible potential.Shortly thereafter we found ourselves in a bidding war. It was indeed a very competitive space. Amy took the time to speak with us several times a day to strategize the win ... we followed her guidance, and we won. She was very thoughtful, and kept us very comfortable with our decisions.The house was a foreclosure, and the end to end transaction was mired in documentation, bank requirements, delays, extensions, inspections, contractors, hundreds of signatures and re-signatures etc. all of which were peppered with many critical points where the deal could have fallen apart. Amy was expert in managing all the documentation and never lost sight of any of the fine print detail. She knew we were committed to the process, and her follow up, her guidance, her experience, her caring and her very objective attitude kept everything moving forward, and helped us remain sane through it all. She never sugar coated a tough message, and never avoided the facts. She was never once pushy when dealing with us, yet she pushed very hard on the banks and agents that were blowing our timeline. From our first discussion to the closing date, Amy helped us complete the deal in 8 short weeks.The only reason we were able to purchase this home was Amy Clemens, whom we fondly refer to as "The Amy Factor". Amy Clemens cares about her buyers, and she responds ... almost instantly no matter the hour of the day. Despite the many pain points and frustrations we encountered along the way, we could not be anymore satisfied with our purchase or the customer experience we had with Amy. Best brokers in the City - hands down. Not only are they both highly experienced, connected, and savvy...Alec and Amy are just good, genuine people. I always felt Alec was looking out for my best interests, pointing out things to pay attention to, fighting for the best deal, etc. The deal couldn't have gone smoother, the duo is a one-stop-shop with all the connections to help with every step in the way. Alec was also able to find an amazing deal for me. His understanding and pulse on the market is second to none which led to him spotting an opportunity where I was the ONLY bidder (that doesn't happen in this market). Needless to say, we just closed on a 2-bedroom condo w/ a brand new kitchen and a private back patio in Nob Hill for $868/sf. There are very few brokers in the City that can deliver results like that and none more pleasurable to work with than Alec and Amy.

I happened upon Amy and Alec (her business partner) serendipitously, when I was playing looky-loo at an open house. From the first moment I had a good feeling about them and they've yet to disappoint.Amy and Alec are the consummate professionals. They are attentive, responsive and know their stuff. Why does Yelp only allow 5 stars? Amy deserves more....I recently worked with Amy on a new condo purchase and can't say enough great things about her. I don't think I've met a more motivated person, and certainly not a more motivated agent. From the start, Amy was on top of everything and made the entire process seamless. It seemed like every day she was contacting me to view a new listing and discuss updates - to the point I felt bad she was spending so much time trying to help me. Once I found the place, Amy was instrumental in helping me decide the offer price (it was a multiple bid situation). She never pushed me in one direction or the other, just gave her expert opinion on low/high range. She also shared some secrets to help in this situation (you'll have to work with her to find out!) that were vital in helping me win. She gave me all the tools to make the most accurate pricing decision possible.I also recall Amy going above and beyond while helping me look over the disclosures for the property. There were some question marks/missing details and Amy went out of her way to solve. Literally, I think she called Gov. Brown's office in Sacramento to find the answers. Not something I ever would have expected, but it's just the way she is. I'm a very tough critic and hold extremely high standards (think angry Boston guy). I'm also a broker (in a different industry) and know what it takes to succeed. Amy has all the qualities (and then some), and did nothing but exceed my expectations in every possible category. I hold Amy in the highest regard and would recommend her unconditionally.

We contacted Amy to assist us when we moved to the Bay Area from the East Coast. Amy Clemens just helped us buy our first home in the Bay Area, and she did a fantastic job. Amy was polite and helpful, sending us dozens of potential options as houses came on the market. A true testament of a great agent is to see how he or she manages through difficult times. Amy has to be one of the best.We were referred to Amy a year ago and couldn't be more happy with her professionalism, knowledge, and just being "on our side". We were first time home buyers who have been looking for a new place in a very difficult SF real estate market. I would characterize ourselves as fairly picky home buyers, but she had always been very patient and always provided a very objective perspective whenever we had questions.We finally decided to purchase a place that was new construction. It was fraught with delays, changing contract terms, and inconsistencies from the seller/developer. I initially contacted Amy and Alec based on all of these stellar YELP reviews. Amy was our main contact throughout the entire home buying process, but Alec was also very much present and available as needed.This team is amazing and knows this market inside and out - from SFR, to condo/TIC to multi-unit investing, to condo conversion projects and beyond. We wound up buying a two-unit building after having looked at all of the options noted. The SF real estate market can be nutty, frustrating and exciting; it's critical to have the right team leading you through it. I recommend these two without reservation; you'll be glad you contacted them.

I've worked with a lot of San Francisco real estate agents through my work in insurance, and as a result I've been able to see the differences in how each of them conducts business -- the relationships they build with their clients, their ability to communicate, how organized and responsive they are, etc. Although there are a lot of good agents in the city, when I was finally ready to purchase my own home in San Francisco, there was no question that I wanted Amy to be my agent.From the beginning, Amy really took the time to understand our unique needs before suggesting homes for us to look at. When the perfect home finally came on the market, she went out of her way to arrange a last-minute showing, just hours before we were scheduled to leave on an out-of-state vacation. And when we decided to make an offer, she helped us to make a winning bid without going overboard (one of the biggest challenges we had with the competitive San Francisco real estate market). Our offer was accepted while we were still on vacation, and Amy helped us to get everything done on-schedule, even though it had to be done long-distance. While we were e-signing documents in Illinois, Amy was scheduling home inspections and arranging for electrical estimates here in San Francisco. I started working with Alec and Amy in early 2012 to buy a condo/loft in San Francisco, they were great to work with and helped me find a steal of a loft in SOMA. Over the next four years Alec and I stayed in touch as the market continued to rise in the area, and as I started my transition to Seattle, Alec and Amy worked with my relocation company to sell the loft for more than I could have ever expected. The return on investment was outstanding, and the professionalism and detailed planning by Alec and Amy made everything as easy as possible for a first time home buyer and then first time home seller. I wish Yelp not only had 5 stars but, also an additional option for those who want to offer an "over the top" review that would be the equivalent of an A+. Well, this is my A+ review.I had interviewed several other realtors before I made my decision to hire Amy and Alec and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I am not even quite sure how to express the depth of the appreciation I feel toward Amy in particular who was my point of contact as we sold my loft. My experience with her exceeded all my expectations. This is the third real estate transaction I've been involved in and I only wish that Amy had represented me in the others because I don't think I've ever been as well supported before.There is no question in my mind that she has mastered the art of real estate, and I experienced her as an incredibly competent professional yet, what I think sets her apart are the skills she has developed related to the art of being human. She was consistently patient with me. She held my hand step-by-step and partnered with me empathetically when we encountered some "wrinkles" in our escrow process. I experienced her as an incredibly adept listener, reliably responsive and available. This was the first home we bought and Amy was absolutely awesome. Not only was she fun to hang out with but in the end she helped us find the perfect house within our tight budget. It took us about four months to find a place and i think the longest amount of time that passed before she responded to an email or phone call was probably four hours! And i was connecting with her at least 6 times a week! She has an excellent reputation with other agents in SF and a very large network which she accessed many times to get us additional information on properties. Her intuition for what properties will actually sell for is near perfect and even with that she supported us, without judgement, on several bids we made that we knew would end up well under the sale price. She's terrific- i couldnt recommend her more highly.

Alec and Amy = the best.My husband and I decided to buy a house this year and got referred to Alec and Amy. We knew zero about buying a house and were pretty intimidated by the market in SF and the process of buying a home. Alec and Amy were with us every step of the way. There were available at all hours, it seemed like, and were very patient with all of our billion questions and moments of indecision.Amy and Alec are incredibly professional and very knowledgeable about the market in SF. They were able to make recommendations for design build firms after we purchased our house, as it needed quite a bit of work. Alec has even come over to look at the plans that the architect put together.The thing I liked most about Alec and Amy is that they are super helpful and knowledgeable, without being pushy or seeming like the only thing they care about is their commission. I truly felt like their number one priority was to find us our dream home.I really can't say enough about how great they are. Check them out.

Five stars seems to be too few for Amy. Even though I ended up not buying a place, working with Amy was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for an agent to buy (or sell), Amy is the agent you want on your side.First, Amy is knowledgeable about the SF market. SF has a lot of strange rules and idiosyncrasies and Amy was able to explain the nuances and the market in easy to understand terms. She also knows the neighborhoods well and is able to help you find places that match your wishlist but might be in a different neighborhood than you are looking.Second, Amy is a super professional. She is very responsive, always called ahead to realtors to let them know I was going to stop by to see a place, which was nice and always read the disclosures promptly and surfaced issues that she noted (and was available to discuss them). More importantly, however, Amy never put her interests above mine (even when her commission was dependent on the purchase price). Amy always had my best interests in mind and listened (and took to heart) my reactions to various places.Finally, Amy is a great person. She is friendly, amiable and a joy to spend time with. I can't recommend Amy more if you are looking to buy a home in SF. If I decide to start my search again, Amy will be the first call I make.

Alec and Amy helped us sell our Potrero Hill flat recently. It was a very complicated process that they did a phenomenal job of navigating us through. They had to align our sales process with our TIC condo conversion process. The city policies for condo conversion couldn't have been more complex or prohibitive (an absolute nightmare, really) and Alec guided us through it AND was able to accelerate the process to the point where we were able to shave the closing time down by as much as two months!The net of it is that they were amazing to work with. As human and trustworthy as any I've met in the business. Super professional. Patient and clear in all communication. Above and beyond hard working. Plus they got us an amazing price for our flat despite the inherent complexity.I couldn't recommend these two more if you are looking to buy or sell a home in SF. Flat out you can trust them to take care of you during what is always a stressful process.

I can't praise these guys enough. They made the selling process totally stress free for us. We were embarking on a transatlantic move and did not have time to organize the little things, like touch up paint or refinishing a surface. We needed transatlantic calls at inconvenient times occasionally, Alec organized it, removing all the stress for us. The team of Alec, Amy and Tyler were smart, professional and reasonable people to work with. We trusted them completely with their selling strategy and it could not have work out better for us. I enjoyed working with them very much and wish I had more houses to sell!! There should be 10 stars here!
